The FutureYou Affiliate Program: How It Works and What You Earn

Why We Built an Affiliate Program
Most personal-finance tools spend heavily on paid ads. We would rather pay that money to the creators, bloggers, and financial coaches who already have an audience that trusts them. If you send us a customer, you get paid — every time, on every plan.
The Commission Structure
| Plan | Price | Your commission | Payout type | |---|---|---|---| | Monthly Pro | $7 USD/month | $4 | Recurring while they stay subscribed | | Annual Pro | $49 USD/year | $25 | One-time (50%+ payout) | | Lifetime — Founding Member | $99 USD one-time | $50 | One-time (biggest single payout) |
That is one of the highest payout ratios in personal finance affiliate marketing. Most competitors pay 15–20% on annual plans — we pay north of 50%.
The 60-Day Cookie
When someone clicks your link, we drop a 60-day attribution cookie. If they sign up any time in that window — on any device where they log in — you get credit. Long cookies matter for finance content because people research, think about it, and come back weeks later.
When You Get Paid
- Sale happens — commission enters your "pending" balance.
- 30-day hold — this covers our refund window so we do not claw back after payout.
- Approved balance — commissions automatically move once the hold clears.
- Payout — request any time your approved balance is above $25. Money hits your bank via Stripe Express in 1–2 business days.
No monthly minimums, no manual invoicing, no PayPal fees.
Getting Started in 60 Seconds
- Visit the affiliate signup page and click "Join the Program."
- Sign in with Google or email.
- Copy your unique link from the affiliate dashboard.
- Onboard with Stripe Express (name, address, tax info) — takes about 3 minutes and unlocks payouts.
That is it. No application review, no follower minimums, no gatekeeping.
What Creators Are Doing With It
- Personal-finance bloggers — adding the link to their "best budgeting apps" and "YNAB alternatives" round-ups. See FutureYou vs YNAB, vs Mint, and vs Monarch for comparison angles.
- YouTube creators — dropping a link under retirement-planning and FIRE videos, then pointing viewers at our retirement calculator or FIRE calculator.
- Newsletter operators — including one tool-of-the-week callout per month.
- Financial coaches — sending clients directly to a purpose-built tool instead of a spreadsheet.
Why the Recurring Monthly Matters
$4/mo does not sound like much until you compound it. Refer 50 subscribers who each stay 18 months on average and that is $3,600 from one piece of content. The math of recurring commissions looks a lot like the math of compound interest — small, boring, relentless.
